Terms of Service
Effective July 9, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and HaulShare Inc. ("HaulShare", "we", "us"), of P.O. Box 2035, Centreville, Virginia 20122. By booking a pickup, using our website or chat, or subscribing to HaulShare Chat, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What HaulShare is
HaulShare is a booking platform for junk removal in Washington DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. Jobs booked through HaulShare are performed by independent, insured hauling partners — not by HaulShare employees. We also offer HaulShare Chat, a subscription product for hauling businesses, described in section 9.
2. Booking and payment
Prices shown at booking are firm for the scope you describe: the load size you select (or that our photo estimate recommends), plus any stairs, curbside, or promotional adjustments, plus a transaction fee. Payment is collected in full at booking through Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your card number.
Your booking is confirmed when payment clears, and your confirmation number and details are emailed to you. Hauling partners are offered the job only after payment succeeds.
3. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel for a full refund until the day before your scheduled service date — email info@haulshare.co or call 703-921-HAUL with your confirmation number. Same-day cancellations and no-access situations (nobody home for an inside pickup, blocked items) are handled case by case and may incur a trip charge, since a crew was dispatched. If we or the hauling partner cancel and cannot reschedule with you, you receive a full refund.
4. On-site scope adjustments
Prices are tied to load size. If your actual load is bigger than what you booked, the crew will offer an upgrade to the correct size: you receive a payment link by text for the difference and have a short window to accept it. We never charge your card without this explicit consent. If you decline or the window lapses, the crew hauls the scope you originally booked and paid for, and any extra items stay.
5. What we can't take
Hauling partners cannot accept hazardous materials, including paint, solvents, chemicals, asbestos, gasoline and other fuels, propane tanks, wet garbage, medical waste, and anything illegal to transport or dispose of. If restricted items are discovered on site they will be left, and the rest of the job proceeds. See the What We Take page for details.
6. Photos and AI assistance
Photos you upload are used to estimate your load and are shared with the crew assigned to your job so they arrive prepared. Our chat and photo estimates are powered by AI; every price is validated against our published rate card before you pay. AI answers can occasionally be imperfect — the booking confirmation and these terms control.
7. Text messages (SMS terms)
HaulShare sends service-related text messages: booking confirmations, arrival updates, payment links for scope upgrades, and — for contracted hauling partners who opt in during onboarding — job dispatch alerts. By booking, or by opting in on our forms, you agree to receive these messages at the number you provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Message frequency varies depending on your job or dispatch activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out (we may then need to reach you by email or phone to coordinate your service) and START to resubscribe. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at info@haulshare.co or 703-921-HAUL. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Our handling of your number and opt-in data is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Independent hauling partners
Hauling partners are independent businesses that carry their own general liability and auto insurance and are responsible for the performance of the work, lawful disposal, and their own crews. If something goes wrong on a job, contact us and we will coordinate a resolution with the partner, but HaulShare's own liability is limited as described in section 10.
9. HaulShare Chat subscription
HaulShare Chat is a monthly subscription (currently $29.99/month) that gives a hauling business an AI assistant, a hosted page, and a lead dashboard. Billing is handled by Stripe and renews monthly until canceled; you can cancel anytime from your dashboard's billing portal, effective at the end of the current billing period. You are responsible for the accuracy of the business information your assistant is configured with, and for your own compliance with laws that apply to your business.
If you enable customer payments, quote payments are processed through your own Stripe account via Stripe Connect, subject to a 3.9% payment processing fee and Stripe's own terms. We are not a party to the service agreement between you and your customer.
10. Disclaimers and limits of liability
The service is provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, HaulShare disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking; for the Chat subscription, to the subscription fees you paid in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. If we have a dispute, both sides agree to first try good-faith mediation in Fairfax County, Virginia, and then binding arbitration there if mediation fails. Either side may use small claims court for qualifying claims.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and continued use after that is acceptance. Questions? Email info@haulshare.co or call 703-921-HAUL.
